Autochlor RP36QT chlorinator is a self-cleaning (reverse polarity) chlorinator and this unit includes a Quartz battery back up timer. This would normally be required where your pool pump / chlorinator is desired to be connected to reduced Tariff 33 (or equivalent) power supply, or if your location is subject to power fluctuations / outages.
